Now that Grayson is three he can start playing soccer! We were really excited. He has so much energy we thought it would be a fun outlet. He really enjoyed watching all the soccer during the Olympics, and he LOVES all the gear. He pretty much just wants to wear his cleats and shin guards all the time! He's got a great little team. We're playing with Germantown United Methodist. His friend Bobby is on the team, as well as Bobby's big sister Abbie, and their dad Dennis is the coach - Let me just say that Coach Dennis is a SAINT!!! There are 9 kids on the team, and it's a 3-5 year old league. Grayson's two best buddies John David and Harrison are also on the team, so all together there are five 3-year-olds, one 4-year-old, and three 5-year-olds (all girls!). The five 3 year old boys are a complete hilarious disaster!! They are more interested in chasing each other, picking and throwing grass, running into the net, and snack time than they are in the game. They will actually move to avoid the ball if it gets anywhere near them! The 4-year-old and 5-year-olds are great though, so I think there is hope in the future.
Grayson's really quite good one on one playing in the yard with David. We realized this doesn't hold true on a field with 8-10 kids - Ha! He enjoys running around in circles and back and forth on the outskirts of the action, but has no desire what-so-ever to run after or kick the ball when every other kid is trying to do that very thing!

The team doing a few pre-practice calisthenics - mostly Coach Dennis :)
