Race For The Cure

This year I wanted to do the Memphis Race For The Cure on behalf of two of my college friends and roommates, Tiffany and Shannon. Tiffany is herself a breast cancer survivor, and Shannon's aunt Sarah Jane lost her 20+ year battle with breast cancer last year. It is a huge event here, and there were over 20,000 participants. The cool thing about the course is that it actually circled my neighborhood and passed my street! Grayson got to come with me and ride in his cozy stroller. It was 32 degrees when we left our house, so several people said they wanted to trade spots with him and ride under his blanket - Ha!

Getting ready to start

It was just a sea of people wearing pink!

People have a lot of fun with it, and there were several teams dressed up in costumes.

There were also tons of houses and lawns decorated along the way. This one in our neighborhood had an Elvis on the roof!
