Last week we had the pleasure of visiting David's brother, sister-in-law, two nieces, and nephew at their home in Sea Island, Georgia. Grayson had never met any of this family, and I hadn't seen them since the wedding 2 1/2 years ago, so we were so glad it worked out! We drove, and by the looks of our luggage, you would think we were moving there! Ha! I think Grayson had three bags just for him, plus stroller, pack-n-play, etc. We were nervous about his first real road trip, but actually had high hopes. These were soon dashed after we embarked upon our adventure. I don't know what it is, but car trips and Grayson just don't mix! Our 7-8 hour trip turned into 10-11 hours after stopping every hour or so. Once we made it though, it was wonderful! It was so nice to see everyone. Grayson loved meeting his Aunt Cindy, Uncle Bob, and cousins Melissa, Christina, and Collin, and he couldn't get enough of all the attention!! Sea Island is such a beautiful place. I had never seen anything like it. Definitely like scenery from a movie with all the lush vegetation, palm trees, and Spanish moss everywhere, and all this right on the Atlantic Ocean. We got to take several walks up and down the sidewalk that runs the length of the island. Grayson thoroughly enjoyed going swimming for the first time and checking out the ocean. Thanks to Huggies Little Swimmers he was ready for action when we hit the pool. He was kicking and kicking!
