This weekend we really kicked off the Christmas season by selecting and putting up our Christmas tree! We loaded up the "family truckster" and headed to the Lowe's tree lot. We quickly picked out our special tree and brought it home. Nothing like a fresh tree to make your house smell like Christmas!
(Fast forward one week, and our poor tree is raining needles and barely drinking water - Boo! We're keeping it on life-support and trying not to touch it too much for fear that it won't have any needles by Christmas!! Hang on little tree!)

Breaking in the Santa hat!
Saturday the weather was absolutely perfect, so we decided to check out Memphis Zoo Lights for the first time. It was an unbelievable 60 degrees on December 1st, and we walked around without even having coats most of the time. We will be in for a shock in future years when it's freezing! We met up with the McSwains after Ryan finished watching the SEC Championship game, and the kids had a blast looking at lights together. Looking forward to making this an annual tradition.
