Hello my big 1 Year Old!! Even though it feels like the days are creeping by sometimes, I can not even believe it has already been a whole year since you were born!! Once again Mommy is quite behind on posting all that you've been up to, so this will be your 12 month plus a couple other months update :) We adore you and your precious little smile, big personality, even bigger blue eyes, and sweet little self!
At 12 months old you were 29 inches and 19lb 4oz (50% for both). By your first birthday you had 3 teeth, were waving, trying your first soy milk, then cows milk, drinking from your first straw, and eating your first Birthday Cake, first pancakes, and an entire Chic-fil-a kids meal! You started walking 5 days after your birthday, and now there is no stopping you! You are also quite a climber and will climb on top of anything. One day you pushed your Bumbo seat against the couch, and then used it to climb up on the couch! You will also use Grayson's bathroom stool to try to climb into the tub. Needless to say we have to watch you every minute!! Your absolute favorite thing to do is climb the stairs. This is unfortunate enough by itself, but to make matters worse you are not content to climb stairs on your hands and knees like a baby! You want to walk straight up on your feet like we do or Grayson does - holding on to the rail or holding on to our hands, and if we don't cooperate, you fuss at us!
Now at 14 months you have 4 teeth, with 2 more coming through, you can sign "milk" and "more," you say bye-bye, bird, ma-ma, and da-da, and blow kisses. Your very first word was "bird." One day on a walk you just pointed at a bird and said it clear as day! You are completely done with bottles, and drink whole milk out of a sippy cup just like Grayson! You've been to your first baseball game, first horse show, first swimming pool, first trolley ride, and first sprinkler park. You are now taking baths with Grayson, and you both have SO much fun! You aren't a big fan of any water cooler than bath water though, so you don't love going to the pool as much as we'd hoped - I think it will grow on you!
Unfortunately you did have another double ear infection right after your birthday, and were on antibiotics for 6 whole weeks. You've been okay since then, so we are hoping the streak continues!
I wouldn't exactly say that you're a snuggler, but you do love to get hugs and then jump down to be on your way again! You will still fall asleep in my arms when you're really tired, and that's precious! You pretty much just want to do anything that Grayson is doing and love to laugh at all his antics.
We are so very very thankful for you and that God placed you in our family! We love you!!
