Everything since Christmas has been kind of a blur, so I'm going to try to remember some highlights of Grayson's tenth month! He can crawl so fast now that we call it "crawl running." Especially when he's motivated by something he really wants - mostly the puppy balls or bones! He also started clapping and does it all the time now. He doesn't really hold his hands out in front of him though, he holds one against his face and claps it with the other hand. He kind of smacks himself in the face, but he doesn't mind, and it's so funny to watch. He's really working on his climbing skills and climbs the stairs all the time (with me following closely behind!). The puppies got him started by running up and down, so now he crawls up too. We have a puppy/baby gate on the half way landing, so he'll crawl up there and play with that. He also really loves books! He likes to be read to, but he also likes to flip the pages back and forth a million times and turn it over and chew on it. He's getting quite a book collection though, and they are excellent entertainment. He makes all kinds of noises all the time. He still says ma-ma and da-da, but now he's also making the "p" and "b" sounds a lot and saying something like "nay nay nee nee." His favorite toys are the farm tractor and animals and stuffed fish aquarium he got for Christmas. He also likes anything he can hit or bang together. He loves seeing people and loves to smile.
We went back to see his pediatric gastroenterologist January 6th because Grayson's digestion still hasn't worked itself out, and he said he's growing well and just needs a few more months to grow out of it. We are now on formula option #6, "EleCare." It's an elemental formula that of course also has to be special ordered and is also ridiculously expensive. He's still on a liquid formula only diet until we go back for a follow-up on April 14th, a couple weeks after his 1st birthday. We're praying everyday that his digestion will heal, and he will quit having blood in his diapers. The doctor's hoping that we'll get to start introducing food after our next appointment! We all can't wait for that day! Grayson looks so sad as he watches us eat.
