So many exciting changes happening! It has been such a beautiful fall here, and Grayson really enjoys getting outside. We try to go on a long walk around the neighborhood with the puppies any day that it's not raining, meet friends at the park, and of course make many trips to the zoo. Grayson is still constantly on the move. He's not officially crawling yet, but he sure makes good progress scooting/sliding/army crawling toward anything that catches his attention! It's so cute. He can also sit up on his own now. He's getting such an adorable personality. He's really got the hang of peek-a-boo and throwing his toys on the floor for us to pick up. He also laughs and smiles all the time and chatters saying ba-ba, da-da, blah-blah, ga-ga, and ma-ma. He loves looking at himself in the mirror. He can really read our faces and the tone of our voices. A lot of times he'll do something and then look at us to see what we think. When my parents were here he would blow bubbles, and the more we would laugh, the more he would do it! And he really enjoys watching all the puppy antics when they run around and wrestle with each other. I know it's just a matter of time before he'll be right there with them. Luckily for now he still loves to cuddle and be held when he's sleepy, and that's the BEST!
There hasn't been any real changes in the sleep department. He's still sleeping in his room and getting up to eat once a night between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m. There is a definite link between how well he naps during the day and how well he sleeps at night. If he can get two good naps in the nights go much better! Maybe next month I can report that he sleeps straight through to 6 o'clock every morning! Grayson's eating is still a constant challenge. We gave up giving him anything besides formula entirely after his 6 month check up. Both rice and oatmeal made him sick, and when we tried going to veggies on the doctor's recommendation he got sick after just 2 teaspoons. Poor little guy! We did have a very encouraging appointment with the gastro doctor though! We are on to formula #5, Nutramigen Amino Acid, and this will hopefully be the ticket!! This is pretty much as simple and hypoallergenic as you can get, and the doctor was really hopeful. We have two weeks to try it before he is scheduled for a baby endoscopy. That is a horrible thought, so we're praying so hard that this corrects the problem, and he doesn't have to go through being under anesthesia and the procedure.
