We want to share our love of camping with the baby early on, so we figured it was a great time to take the family camping! We packed up the car and the puppies Friday after work and headed off to Montgomery Bell State Park for the weekend. It's really starting to feel like Fall in Tennessee, so the weather was perfect. The park is a very short drive from us, and we actually got to our campsite in time to set everything up in the light - which doesn't always happen! It was also our first ever camping trip when it didn't rain while we were either setting up or breaking down. We had great campfires, yummy food that always tastes better when eaten outside, and we got to take a nap on Saturday! We did have a few misadventures along the way though, including waiting in line to get gas (because pumps all over TN are out), Harley getting carsick all over me, the loudest 6 children ever camping next to us, setting off on a 2 mile hike to end up going 6 miles (good thing we're used to walking!), and David calling the Ranger on a group of partying Vandy kids. Good times!! I can't even tell you how much the puppies love going camping. They love being outside all the time. I didn't take many pictures this time, but here are a few from our trip in the Spring!
