18 Months!

I can't believe this little pumpkin is already 18 months old!!

Addy, you are the sweetest little girl in the world to us! We love your quiet, happy, easy-going self! These days you are the epitome of a "copy-cat!" You will try to do almost everything you see your big brother doing!! You try to mimic his every motion, play the games he's playing, see everything he sees, and climb where he's climbing. Unfortunately this copying is starting to spill into your eating. You used to eat anything we put in front of you, but you've been watching your picky big brother, and now you'll turn up your nose at mealtime too. Most of your friends are 3 year old boys, so you've got a lot of keeping up to do! You have a daring and bravery on the playground that Grayson didn't have until he was at least 2, because you're following his example! You're also clever enough to find solutions for when you aren't quite big enough to follow - you've learned to push toys against the couch to climb up, and you've learned to carry the bathroom stool into Grayson's room when you want to jump on his bed with him. You're definitely getting into an independent stage now where you're not afraid to show your little stubborn temper when you don't get your way. You love music and like to try to sing/hum along, and you really like to clap your hands. You also like to give yourself a hand when you've done something to be proud of! I wouldn't really say that you're chatty, but you manage pretty well making your wants and feelings known! You are really intrigued by faces especially. You like to point to your face, your stuffed animal faces, faces in books, and our faces and name the parts - eyes, nose, mouth, ears, and tongue. You also like knees, elbows, and toes - Ha! You love bath time, and climbing the stairs. You like to walk by yourself instead of ride in carts or strollers when you see your brother running around. You love to go outside. You let us know you want your drink by walking to the refrigerator and trying to open the door. You understand so much of what we say that we can't get a lot by you!!
