One of our most favorite animals at the zoo is the Orangutan! There are three on exhibit, and we love to check them out each visit to see what antics they are up to. There are two smaller ones that like to cover themselves up with blankets and do other crazy things, and then there is this, to quote Buddy the Elf, "ginormous" one. He usually sits up on the highest tree perch, and we honestly thought he was probably too big to move around very much. Boy were we ever wrong!
This time he swung down from his perch on a rope, and went and grabbed a bunch on lettuce from the ground. Instead of eating it right then, he carried it with him to the stream of water. Then he grabbed his little bowl and used it as a cup to get a drink of water! Finally, he climbed back up to his perch to eat the lettuce!
