Wow, what a whirlwind this first month has been! Luckily we started out with lots of help with my mom and brother here! Our precious little Adelyn couldn't be sweeter!
You stole our hearts from the beginning baby girl!! Already this first month you've grown and changed so much. You are eating between two and three ounces at a time and sleeping two to three hours at a time (during the day)! You still like to bond with us at night by having us hold you! I know we'll get that figured out. Your two most favorite things this month are being in your swing and being held. You're a smart girl already! We had a little scare when you were just four days old. We had to take you to the doctor and you were down to 6lbs 3oz. They told us you were not getting enough to eat by nursing and that you were dehydrated. I was so upset, but we took you right home and started giving you a bottle. By the next day you had already gained 4oz, and the doctor said you were looking good!! We wanted to be very careful with your tummy after all your big brother's issues, so we started feeding you hypoallergenic formula from the start. By 12 days old you were at 7lbs 3oz and over your birth weight so the doctor was very pleased. At your one month check up you were 20.5 inches long (25%), 8lbs (25%), and your head was 39 cm around (50%).
You have a great big brother, but he doesn't quite know what to think of you! Sometimes he gets so excited that he pushes your swing to hard! He loves to give you kisses on your head.
