This week was a big one for Grayson! He's been able to sit up by himself if we sit him there, but he hasn't been able to go from crawling to sitting up by himself until this week. Now he does it like a pro! And he really gets a kick out of being able to go get a toy and then sit there and play with it. Another first this week is being able to hold his bottle and feed himself. He's held it for a complete feeding several times! I don't make him do it all the time though now that I know he can, because when he isn't holding his bottle he likes to hold my hand. That is just too sweet to resist, especially since he rarely sits still anymore. I'm going to keep on cherishing these sweet cuddle times as long as I can!
The not so fun big events this week were getting his last flu shot and getting allergy tested. We went to a pediatric allergist at Vanderbilt on our doctor's recommendation. He felt like it would be good just to see if we could rule out some foods that have been giving him problems. We thought they were going to be able to draw some blood and test it that way since he has such a tiny little back, but they did the skin pricks instead. Grayson did so well though, and didn't even cry when they were pricking him. He was mostly just upset that we had to keep him still for 15 minutes for them to measure! They tested him for oat, wheat, rice, corn, peanut, milk, egg, and soy. The good news was that he didn't react to any of them! That's great news long term!
