After both of us had a horrible stomach virus and had to cancel our last appointment, we were able to reschedule for last Friday. We were able to take one last good peek at our little one before the big day to make sure everything is still right on track! The space is already getting cramped in there. We couldn’t believe how much Baby Proctor has grown in the last 2 months! Our little baby is now about 3 pounds! Compared to seeing the whole little body stretched out last time, this time we could really just see one tiny body part at a time. There was a lot in the way, including hands, feet, the umbilical cord, and who knows what else, but the technician got two cute little shots of the face. Notice the foot above the left eye in the second picture. My how flexible!
We also had to look away for what seemed like forever so that we didn’t spoil the boy or girl surprise! Now only the tech and God know the big secret! It sort of made me want to know after she was talking about being the only one who knew, but we stayed strong!
We both had a long weekend for MLK, so we started making progress on the nursery! David was very handy and spent a lot of time with his tools up in the attic building out a floor for storage. Thank goodness for the new power drill he got from my parents at Christmas!! He was able to double or triple our storage space by laying down plywood, and we put a bunch of stuff up there already. We also picked out the paint! We're doing colors from the pooh bedspread - leapfrog green on the bottom and dandelion dust yellow on the top with a chair rail in the middle. Basically grass green and really pale yellow! I can’t wait to get started, but it will probably be several more weeks since we still have to find a home for all the office furniture to move that out. At least we’re making progress! Here are pictures of the furniture we’ve picked out, but this is not the nursery!
